High Speed Assembly & Inspection Cells

A valve is built once and has to work for years. OKUMAT carries the whole assembly on one centrally driven base, with up to 24 stations for feeding, joining, adjusting and testing in a single cycle. Because cams set every movement, each part meets the same path every time, and a press-fit holds its limit across the whole series. Depending on the system, output runs from 10 to 300 parts per minute. For assemblies with few individual parts there is the compact Modular Solution, for longer process chains the linear Transfer Solution.
Discover all High Speed Assembly Systems
Up to 300 parts a minute, and every one of them exactly where it belongs. Explore the high-speed assembly systems that turn many small components into finished products at a pace most lines never reach.

Precision Machining

Components built in large series are machined in large series too. The AR 400 is our rotary transfer machine for short cycle times and large quantities, configured to your process sequence with modular machining units in horizontal, vertical or inclined spindle arrangement. Parts are loaded in parallel with machining, so cycle times stay short and quality stays consistent on a footprint optimized to the process. For fine bores there is the AF 400 Fine Boring Machine, for flexible lots the AC 400 Machining Center.

Custom Solutions & Retrofit

Valves, actuators and couplings are different workpieces, and one line can still build them all. Every machine we build is also available as a turnkey system. Hybrid structures that combine assembly modules, NC tables and robots keep availability high and flexibility wide, so different workpieces can run on the same line. You get one system, delivered ready to run. For a process no standard machine offers, there are Custom Machines.

One team from first sketch to a line that runs.
A process that has proven itself. One team plans, engineers and commissions your machine, and hands it over turnkey, ready to run, in the shortest possible time.

Concept, material flow and scope, defined with you before the first drawing is released.

Mechanics, controls and process, designed as one system and simulated before the build.

Build, installation and commissioning at your plant, then handed over ready to run.
What output can an OKUMAT system reach?
Between 10 and 300 parts per minute, depending on part size, number of components and process. The exact rate is set by the slowest process, so we design every station to match the target cycle.
When is a linear transfer system better than a rotary one?
When the process chain is long, the part is large or many stations are needed. A linear layout gives each station space and access, and leaves room to add steps later.
Which parts suit the AR 400?
Medium-size parts that need several machining operations at high volume: housings, valve bodies, fittings, connecting rods and similar components.
Can one partner handle machining and assembly for the same part?
Yes. We build precision machining and high-speed assembly systems in house. The part moves from raw stock to verified assembly under one engineering team, with one set of interfaces and one contact.
Which feeding technologies do you use?
Vibratory bowl feeders, linear and step feeders, and flexible feeders with vision for complex parts. The technology is chosen by part geometry, surface and rate.
Do you build complete lines or individual machines?
Both. We deliver single machines that drop into your existing line, and complete turnkey lines with feeding, assembly, machining and inspection. You choose the scope. We take responsibility for all of it.

discuss your unique requirements.
How is every unit verified?
Inspection is part of the process, not a step after it. Each unit is checked in the line, and the result is stored against the part. Nothing moves to the next station without a pass.
What traceability do you provide?
Every part and batch is documented through the process: which station, which parameters, which result. Traceability is configured to your requirements, down to part and batch level.
Which process capability do you design for?
Critical features are designed for a machine capability index (Cmk) of 1.67 or higher. We prove it in a documented capability study with your parts before the machine ships. Process capability (Cpk of 1.33 or higher) is then confirmed in series production on your floor.

discuss your unique requirements.
What warranty do you provide?
Twelve months from acceptance as standard. Extended warranty terms can be agreed per project.
Can you test our parts before we place an order?
Yes. For critical joining, machining or inspection steps, we run feasibility trials with your sample parts. You see the result before you commit to the machine.
How long does a project take from order to acceptance?
Systems based on our standard platforms typically take six to nine months. Complex lines with machining, assembly and inspection take nine to fourteen months. The binding schedule is part of every offer.
