Consumer Goods

Variant & Format Flexibility

Your next variant is already in the launch plan. Your line should be ready for it.

Consumer goods move with seasons, retailers and trends: more variants, shorter runs, faster launches. A line built for one format turns every change into lost output. We build assembly systems with modular stations, quick-change tooling and recipe-driven parameters. Formats switch in minutes. New variants can be added through modular tooling and stations instead of a new machine.

What you get

From raw body to finished assembly.
One team answers for all of it.

01

Changeover

Format parts are coded and swap without tools. The line is back at rate before the next pallet arrives.

02

Recipe Control

Parameters, limits and test plans load with the recipe, reducing manual settings and the risk of setup errors.

03

Scalability

New variants are added as stations on the existing base machine. The investment stays in place.

04

Time to Market

New formats are validated offline and enter production without stopping the line.

High Speed Assembly & Inspection Cells

Okumat

The next variant is already in the launch plan, so the machine should not be the bottleneck. OKUMAT starts with one of three centrally driven bases, with 8, 12, 16 or 24 stations arranged around it to fit the part and the process. Easily exchangeable components keep engineering fast and the system economical when formats change. Cams set the motion, so every cycle repeats like the last. For assemblies with few individual parts there is the compact Modular Solution, for longer process chains the linear Transfer Solution.

Discover all High Speed Assembly Systems

Up to 300 parts a minute, and every one of them exactly where it belongs. Explore the high-speed assembly systems that turn many small components into finished products at a pace most lines never reach.

Custom Solutions & Retrofit

System Upgrades

New variant, new format, same machine. System Upgrades extend an existing machine with additional stations, processes or capacity when you need it: new products, higher volumes, changed process steps. You stay flexible without investing in an entirely new system. If no existing machine fits the new process, there are Custom Machines.

Our Process

One team from first sketch to a line that runs.

A process that has proven itself. One team plans, engineers and commissions your machine, and hands it over turnkey, ready to run, in the shortest possible time.

01

Planning

Concept, material flow and scope, defined with you before the first drawing is released.

02

Engineering

Mechanics, controls and process, designed as one system and simulated before the build.

03

Realization

Build, installation and commissioning at your plant, then handed over ready to run.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many stations can an OKUMAT carry?

8, 12, 16 or 24 stations, arranged around one of three centrally driven base units. The base unit is chosen to fit the part and the process sequence.

Can stations be added to a Transfer Solution later?

Yes. The welded base frame can be planned with reserve positions, so new process steps are added without rebuilding the machine.

Can you add stations to a machine that is already running?

Yes. We extend existing machines with additional stations, processes or capacity. Preparation runs in parallel to production, and installation is scheduled into your planned shutdowns.

Can one system combine assembly, machining and robots?

Yes. Hybrid systems combine assembly modules, NC tables and robots. They process different workpieces on one line and can be expanded in stages.

Do you build complete lines or individual machines?

Both. We deliver single machines that drop into your existing line, and complete turnkey lines with feeding, assembly, machining and inspection. You choose the scope. We take responsibility for all of it.

Can the Modular Solution be added to an existing line?

Yes. Its compact frame is designed to fit into running production lines, upstream or downstream of existing machines.

discuss your unique requirements.

Why use cam-driven motion instead of servo axes?

Cams couple every station mechanically to one drive. Each cycle repeats exactly, even at high rates, with a repeatability below 50 µm. Where a process needs flexible motion, we add servo axes at that station.

How is every unit verified?

Inspection is part of the process, not a step after it. Each unit is checked in the line, and the result is stored against the part. Nothing moves to the next station without a pass.

What traceability do you provide?

Every part and batch is documented through the process: which station, which parameters, which result. Traceability is configured to your requirements, down to part and batch level.

What do you need from us to prepare an offer?

Part drawings or CAD data, annual volume, target cycle time, number of variants and your quality requirements. Sample parts help. With this, you receive a technical concept and budget price within two to three weeks.

Can you test our parts before we place an order?

Yes. For critical joining, machining or inspection steps, we run feasibility trials with your sample parts. You see the result before you commit to the machine.

How long does a project take from order to acceptance?

Systems based on our standard platforms typically take six to nine months. Complex lines with machining, assembly and inspection take nine to fourteen months. The binding schedule is part of every offer.
